Erica Prescott, NCTM, Director*
Erica received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education in 1991 from the University of Maryland, where she held a full university scholarship. She studied piano with Bradford Gowen, and she has been teaching in the Lewisville, Flower Mound, and Highland Village area since 1992.
Erica's students have been finalists and winners in the AMTA Jazz/Pop Contest, Ft. Worth Solo Contest and Dallas Solo Contest. Her students have also been selected many times for Honors Recitals in both the UTA Piano Solo Contest and the AMTA Cyclical Contest. Erica often serves as a judge for local piano festivals and contests.
Erica currently has a studio of more than 20 private students. She served as church pianist at Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church in Flower Mound, playing for worship services and accompanying the Youth Choir and Vacation Bible School. She has also played for Trietsch's musical productions and accompanied band students for several LISD and private schools in the area. Erica is currently Co-President of the Arlington Music Teachers Association.
Erica and her husband, Michael, have 3 children: Will, a graduate of the University of Arkansas, is a middle school teacher in Lewisville, Carly, a musician and artist, is studying at the University of Texas at Arlington, majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Forensics, and Lily, a student at Texas Tech majoring in Natural Resource Management.

Resa Carrell, NCTM, Assistant Director*
Resa received her Master's Degree in Piano Pedagogy from Texas Woman's University in 2001. While at TWU, she studied with Dr. David Yeomans and was a graduate piano teaching assistant and research assistant. Resa won the honor of Outstanding Graduate performer in 1999. In 2000, Resa gave a lecture recital on the works of Amy Beach and presented her graduate solo performance recital in 2001. As an undergraduate, she attended UT Austin on a National Merit Scholarship where she studied piano with Dr. Betty Mallard.
Resa has been teaching with PianoWorks since 1999. Resa loves to teach all ages and levels! Her studio includes many adult beginners and adult students returning to the piano.
Resa's students have been selected many times as winners, finalists, and Honors Recitalists at the AMTA Jazz/Pop and AMTA Cyclical Contests as well as at the Ft. Worth and Dallas Solo Piano Competitions. Her students have also received honors in the state composition contest and medals in state theory testing. Resa often serves as a judge for local festivals and contests. She currently serves on the board of the Arlington Music Teachers Association, where she handles the website, the yearbook, and all electronic communications for the organization.
While at Texas Woman's University, Resa was also working on a graduate degree in Music Therapy. She studied and worked with different populations in her training including those with issues stemming from psychiatric disorders, autism spectrum disorders and issues related to Alzheimers.
Resa is a lifelong learner and currently takes roller skating and online jazz lessons. She volunteers with her church & her daughter's Girl Scout troop. Resa is married to Ed Conrad, a senior analyst with AT&T Wireless. They reside in Lewisville with their daughter, Lucie, a student at Founders Classical Academy in Flower Mound who is active in piano, art, theater, church, and Girl Scouts.

*ERICA AND RESA ARE ACTIVE MEMBERS OF THE ARLINGTON MUSIC TEACHERS ASSOCIATION AND TEXAS MUSIC TEACHERS ASSOCIATION. BOTH HAVE SERVED ON THE STEERING COMMITTEE FOR STATE CONVENTIONS AND ARE CURRENTLY ON THE BOARD OF THE ARLINGTON MUSIC TEACHERS ASSOCIATION.
