Fall Contests

Almost 30 of our students are busy preparing for this semester’s contests.  The Dallas Solo Contest on November 14th has challenging required pieces by Bach, Pinto, Ginastera, and Alexander.  The AMTA Cyclical Contest on December 5th features music by Contemporary composers, such as Bartok, Turina, Kabalevsky, Goedicke,  and Khachaturian.

Our contest rehearsals are under way.  Even if your child is not yet playing in contests, the rehearsals are a great chance to hear how we prepare the students, and it can be very inspiring to listen to how hard they are working.  All non-contest students who attend a rehearsal will receive 50 Bonus Points.  Our Contest Dress Rehearsal will be on Friday, December 4 and we would love to have some students in the audience.  Contact the studio for  more information.

We are pleased and honored to have our students work with Maureda Travis in our contest master class on Nov 21st. Ms. Travis is considered one of the top teachers in the Ft. Worth area and has worked with our students before. What a special experience it is for our young performers to work with such great teachers each semester!

Recital Program

We will be adding two new items to our recital programs but we’ll need your help!

 Student music recognition:

Many of our students are excelling in music endeavors outside of piano and we are so proud!  We’d like to share the news with the whole studio!  Please send us any news about our students’ music accomplishments by Dec 1st!

 Business listing:

Do you own a business that you’d like to get the word out about?  We’ll be happy to list your business on the back of our program at no cost.  Just send us the info by Dec 1st!

PIANO TUNING

Have you had your piano tuned in the past 6 months?  If not, make sure those Christmas carols sound great and contact Carroll’s Piano Service at 972-221-3806  to set up an appt.
