PianoWorks Spring 2010 Contest Rehearsal Schedule
We
are looking forward to your child’s performance at the AMTA Cyclical
Contest on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at UT Arlington.
Our rehearsals will be at Trietsch Memorial United
Methodist Church. Please
look carefully for the room location posted for each rehearsal.
We will be sending reminder emails so please pay careful
attention to emails regarding rehearsals.
Please enter the church through the Faith Voyage building to
your right as you stand in the parking lot.
Attendance will be taken at rehearsals, and
students are strongly
encouraged to attend all rehearsals if possible.
We are aware that some of the spring rehearsals are scheduled
around Spring Break, so some students may have to miss due to trips,
etc. Rehearsal time can
make an enormous difference in the students’ preparation.
Practice Challenge students will receive 75 Bonus Points for
each rehearsal.
Students are split into 5 groups and are scheduled for 45
minutes. We do try to
stay within 45 minutes but in order to give each student the
opportunity to play twice, rehearsals may run over.
Students need to plan
to stay for their whole rehearsal slot.
These are not “play and leave” rehearsals.
In order to work out schedule conflicts, it is fine to switch
rehearsal groups/times.
Please try to let us know prior to the rehearsal if you are coming
with a different group.
Be aware that earlier groups may be longer due to schedule
switching.
The contest fee is $60 per student and should be paid
by March 1st if not already paid.

Dress Rehearsal!
Students need to wear the clothes/shoes they will wear at the
contest.
Coaching
Sessions are available March 21 – April 3 on
various days and times.
Contact the studio for specific times with the teacher who is NOT
your primary teacher.
The fee for the coaching session is included in your contest studio
fee. Coaching is
individually scheduled with the studio so don’t forget!
